Do tty-specific patches work with the curses interface?[]
It depends on the patch. Those that change code directly in the tty-interface source files, or in src/botl.c, such as hpmon, won't work. Those that modify the main source without altering the interface code work fine, such as Dark Room or Coloured Walls and Floor.
Support for the immensely-popular Menu Colors and Status Colors patches has been added to the curses windowport. I did not add support for hpmon, since its functionality is covered by status colors.
If there's a particular patch that doesn't work that you would like to make work, let me know. At some point I may start a compatibility chart, if I am feeling ambitious.
